Fabrizio Portalupi è fotografo e regista.

 

La sua opera fotografica Femina Fera,

la prima di una trilogia che è esplorazione

degli aspetti spirituali e carnali del "femminile", è edita da Mondadori Electa

e presentata in una serie di mostre-evento

in Italia e nel mondo.

 

Per il teatro, dirige

Il gesto sospeso di Giuseppina Amodei,

intrusione nella Maria Stuarda di Schiller,

e Tiresia tu solo.

 

Ha realizzato video arte, tra cui L’uomo-falco;

Media contro Sedia,

da un'idea di Marco Nereo Rotelli

con poesie di Edoardo Sanguineti,

e Femina Fera,

per l'omonimo progetto fotografico-poetico.

 

Autore di spot pubblicitari

e documentari istituzionali, tra gli altri per Pirelli, Enel, Omnitel, Disney, Johnsons Wax.

 

Ha girato documentari naturalistici e action

tra cui Barrel Racing and Pole Banding,

in onda su Mediaset e negli Stati Uniti.

 

Regista di fiction, attualmente dirige Vivere,

per canale5.

 

Anche scrittore, ha pubblicato

Canto di un uomo-falco,

silloge di poesie e frammenti in prosa

e Avalon,

opera per collezionisti

stampata con torchio a mano

in esemplari numerati.

 

 

 

Fabrizio Portalupi

is a very successful photographer,

director of television and theatre,

and author in Italy.

He has a vast experience in various

artistic practices and fields.

 

As a photographer,

his masterpiece Femina Fera

is the first installment of a trilogy

which explores the carnal and spiritual aspects of the “the feminine”.

It was published and distributed

by Mondadori Electa. and presented

around Italy and abroad

as an artistic exhibition/event in such places as the Uffizi of Florence.

 

For the stage he directed Il Gesto Sospeso, written by Giuseppina Amodei

(adapted from Mary Stuart by Schiller.)

 

He also found success as a video artist.

His works include: L’Uomo-Falco

and Media Contro Sedia (the video art segment of Marco Nereo Rotelli’s project

with poetry by Edoardo Sanguineti.)

 

He has directed

various commercials and industrial films

for both television and cinema.

He found himself comfortably working within the documentary format

where he wrote and directed works for

Pirelli, Disney, Johnsons Wax, Enel

and Omnitel.

 

Fabrizio found greater artistic expression creating nature and action documentaries. His action documentary

Barrel Racing and Pole Banding

aired both on the Italian television network Mediaset and on American television.

 

Currently Fabrizio directs

the very popular network series Vivere

for Canale 5.

 

As an author, Fabrizio

has had various books published,

Canto di un Uomo-Falco and Avalon

being his personal favorites.

Canto is his personal anthology

of poems and prose while Avalon

is a rather unique collectors edition

of one his poems, hand printed and crafted.
